Part‑time on‑site IT Support Technician providing hands‑on user assistance, device setup, basic network checks, and equipment inventory while coordinating with remote engineers to resolve incidents.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on‑site end‑user support, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting of Windows workstations.
- Perform basic network diagnostics (connectivity, DNS, DHCP) and verify physical cabling and device status.
- Maintain accurate equipment inventory and document all on‑site activities in the ticketing system.
- Assist remote engineers by providing physical access, conducting local tests, and relaying user feedback.
- Create clear incident reports and update knowledge‑base articles for recurring issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic LAN/WAN concepts.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities; able to follow remote engineer instructions precisely.
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms and remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, LogMeIn).
