Position Summary

The Research & Development team at PostCare.AI, based in Maryland, United States, is seeking an outstanding and highly self-motivated researcher/engineer. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in machine learning, natural language processing, and deep learning. You will collaborate with a team of research scientists and engineers to tackle real-world challenges as part of PostCare's initiatives to revolutionize the healthcare sector. You will be part of impactful team projects and work with talented individuals at PostCare.AI, benefiting greatly from a fun and creative work environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position. The candidate must be comfortable relocating to Bengaluru and working out of the PostCare.AI India office.

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research and development in Conversational Information Seeking Systems (CIS), which includes model design, efficient model training, and prompt engineering.
• Work with large language models and implement them in CIS systems.
• Apply machine learning algorithms to the healthcare domain.
• Generate innovative solutions, secure patents, and publish research findings in top-tier conferences.

Required Skills

• A Ph.D. or M.Tech/MS by research in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline is preferred. Exceptional candidates with a B. Tech/BS and a proven track record in competitive research are also welcome to apply.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, or minimum 2-5 years of professional hands-on experience will also be considered.
• Experience in deep learning technologies focused on natural language processing (e.g., large language models, conversational information-seeking agents, language modeling, semantic parsing, natural language generation, natural language understanding, etc.).
• Experience in multimodal deep learning technologies (e.g., multimodal representation learning, multimodal fusion network architecture design, architecture search, etc.).
• Experience in general deep learning technologies (e.g., Transformer, CNN, RNN, Seq2seq, etc.).
• Strong background in machine learning (e.g., generative models, discriminative models, neural networks, transfer learning, GANs, one-shot or few-shot learning, unsupervised learning, semi-supervised learning, weakly supervised learning, meta-learning, outlier detection, etc.).
• Proficiency in a neural network library such as TensorFlow or PyTorch is a must.
• A proven track record of research publications in machine learning and artificial intelligence (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, AAAI, ACL, EMNLP, IJCAI, etc.) will be prioritized.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.

Essential Job Functions

This is a full-time, on-site position located in our Bangalore, India office. The role will necessitate communication with your team and the CTO. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, reading research papers and assisting in the development of efficient, state-of-the-art models. You will report directly to the CTO of the company, with whom you will communicate virtually.
