Systems Engineer
Senior Network/System Administrator responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Windows and Linux server environments, managing Active Directory, virtual infrastructure, and Cisco network devices while ensuring security and high availability.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server and Linux infrastructures supporting mission‑critical applications.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity services for enterprise users.
- Administer VMware virtual environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Cisco routing and switching equipment.
- Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation, patch management, and system hardening.
- Monitor network and system health, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with security standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in network and system administration within a government or defense contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019), Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Active Directory, and DNS/DHCP services.
- Proficiency with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and related virtualization tools.
- Experience configuring Cisco IOS devices, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell (or Bash) for automation and reporting.
