Systems Engineer
Design, maintain, and secure the college’s network and server infrastructure, including on‑premise and cloud services, IP networking, and physical security systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and robust protection for all campus operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage the college’s enterprise network, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions.
- Administer on‑premise and cloud‑based servers, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Configure and maintain security devices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and physical access control systems.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches and updates to keep systems secure.
- Collaborate with IT staff to integrate audio‑visual and communication services across campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network and server administration.
- Proficiency with routing/switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and physical security technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
