Network Systems Build Specialist - Systems Technology Forum, Ltfd.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls) to meet DoD security and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new systems into existing environments, ensuring minimal disruption to mission‑critical operations.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions for network issues, maintaining high availability and uptime.
• Document architecture, configuration changes, and operational procedures in clear, concise technical documentation.
• Conduct security assessments and implement hardening measures to protect network assets.

Requirements

• Strong background in network engineering, with hands‑on experience in enterprise and DoD environments.
• Proficiency with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rule sets.
• Experience troubleshooting complex network problems using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and network monitoring platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder interaction.
• Valid security clearance or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
