Network Support Engineer responsible for monitoring, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi‑Fi, and firewall environments using routers and switches to ensure high availability and security.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues across LAN, WAN, and VPN segments.
- Configure and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi‑Fi environments, applying best practices for routing, switching, and firewall policies.
- Provide technical support for network‑related incidents and service requests, documenting solutions and maintaining knowledge base articles.
- Perform routine network health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure optimal uptime.
Requirements
- Proven experience with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and firewall issues.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) preferred.
