A Network Services Specialist who ensures optimal performance and reliability of enterprise networks, leveraging Cisco technologies, routing/switching expertise, and automation with Python to monitor, troubleshoot, and secure complex infrastructures.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise routing and switching solutions, primarily using Cisco platforms.
- Monitor network health and performance with industry‑standard tools, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python) to streamline configuration management, fault detection, and reporting.
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security policies, manage firewalls, and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Support SD‑WAN deployments and integration with existing infrastructure to improve connectivity and resilience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in network engineering, focusing on routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE, NX‑OS, and related certification (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python, for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetFlow, Wireshark) and performance analysis.
- Solid understanding of network security concepts and best practices.
