Network Security Engineer SME - Ideal Innovations, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement Zscaler ZIA/ZPA solutions to replace legacy network security for a federal CJIS division.
• Design and enforce Zero Trust security controls aligned with TIC 3.0 standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a SAFe Agile framework to deliver secure, scalable cloud‑first infrastructure.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide subject‑matter expertise on Zscaler and Zero Trust concepts.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) or equivalent cloud security/SWG/ZTNA platforms.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and modern network security principles.
• Experience working in a SAFe Agile environment with iterative delivery cycles.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, Zscaler Certified Engineer) preferred.
