Security Engineer
Design, deploy, and maintain secure network infrastructures, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents using Cisco technologies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage firewalls, VPN concentrators, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard corporate networks.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts, perform vulnerability assessments, and remediate identified risks.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain high availability and performance of security infrastructure through regular updates, patches, and capacity planning.
- Develop and document security policies, procedures, and standard operating processes for network protection.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment and security appliances.
- Proficiency in firewall technologies (e.g., ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN solutions.
- Experience with IDS/IPS platforms, network monitoring tools, and log analysis.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network segmentation best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, or CISSP preferred.
