Position Summary
Reports to the Director, IT Network Administration. Responsible for the administration, availability, performance, security, and integrity of MTC’s enterprise network, cloud, server, and related infrastructure environments across corporate, remote, cloud, and facility locations. This position supports MTC’s Microsoft Azure cloud services and facilities on premise services while maintaining secure and reliable network connectivity, hybrid cloud operations, cybersecurity controls, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and policy requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Design, administer, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise network and hybrid cloud infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, firewalls, Azure networking, and connectivity between corporate, remote, correctional, and cloud environments.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization, storage, backup, replication, disaster recovery, and related infrastructure services.
- Monitor network, server, and cloud performance, availability, capacity, security, and reliability; troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements to maximize service availability.
- Install, configure, patch, upgrade, secure, and document network devices, servers, cloud resources, and infrastructure systems in accordance with approved maintenance and change management practices.
- Administer and support cybersecurity controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, logging, vulnerability management, security monitoring, identity management, multifactor authentication, conditional access, and privileged access controls.
- Participate in threat detection, security investigations, incident response, containment, recovery, post-incident reviews, security audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities.
