Systems Engineer
Network Operations Specialist responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing IT infrastructure platforms, managing capacity and budgeting, automating processes, and integrating systems to support critical business applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Platform Management (80%)
- Design & Implementation: Design and deploy robust IT infrastructure platforms to support critical business applications, ensuring seamless integration with US-based client systems.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze complex performance trends, identify potential risks, and propose systemic optimizations.
- Capacity & Budgeting: Lead capacity planning initiatives and provide technical rationale for procurement budget planning and specifications.
- R&D and Innovation: Research emerging technologies to evaluate and propose innovative solutions and iterative system upgrades.
- Automation & Integration: Design complex scripts to automate routine tasks and optimize existing infrastructure tools and resource integration.
Security Assurance & Continuity (20%)
- Threat Mitigation: Safeguard infrastructure by deploying robust security measures, managing patch updates, and designing response strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
- Incident Management: Lead the resolution of unprecedented technical issues, performing root-cause analysis and documenting prevention measures.
- Business Continuity (BCP): Draft comprehensive BCP plans, define testing approaches, and evaluate drill results to ensure organizational resilience.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to security protocols and assist in the preparation of audit materials and improvement reports.
Technical Leadership
- Knowledge Management: Lead the development of technical documentation and internal knowledge bases to facilitate team-wide technical exchanges.
- Standardization: Identify and mitigate risks in non-standard scenarios while proposing improvements to standardize global processes.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Tenure: Minimum of 4 years of total IT experience, with at least 2 years specifically in a networking-related field including project experience.
- Network Scale: Experience administering medium-sized networks (750+ nodes) is preferred.
- Global Context: Experience working within a Multinational Corporation (MNC) environment is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Certifications: CCNA required; CCNP (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Hardware Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Cisco (ASA, IOS, Switches) and Huawei technologies.
- Networking Protocols: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and VPN (GRE, IPSec).
- Systems Knowledge: Introductory knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu preferred).
