Systems Engineer
Lead a team of Network Administrators to design, operate, and secure the enterprise network and server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the bank’s enterprise network architecture, including LAN, WAN, and data‑center connectivity.
- Oversee server infrastructure management, ensuring optimal performance, patching, and capacity planning.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Network Administrators, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor network health using monitoring tools, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business units to align network initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in network engineering and server administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPN technologies, and network security best practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver reliable network services in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
