Network Modelling and Simulation Engineer - The Aerospace Corporation

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate network models for satellite and ground segment communications using MATLAB and Python.
• Implement simulation frameworks in C++ to evaluate system performance under varying mission scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate network models into end‑to‑end payload design.
• Analyze simulation results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend design improvements.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings for technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Strong background in network modelling and simulation for space or high‑performance communication systems.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and C++ with experience in large‑scale simulation.
• Knowledge of satellite communication protocols, link budget analysis, and system dynamics.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
