Lead a multi‑site network operations team, overseeing design, security, VPN/remote access and monitoring to ensure resilient, future‑ready infrastructure for a world‑renowned scientific and public organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve a secure, resilient enterprise network across multiple sites.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Network Operations Team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and proactive service delivery.
- Manage perimeter security, firewalls, VPN/remote‑access solutions and network monitoring platforms to protect critical research and public‑facing services.
- Ensure high availability and performance through capacity planning, redundancy strategies and incident response.
- Collaborate with IT, security and research stakeholders to align network services with organizational goals and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in enterprise network design, implementation and operations, preferably in multi‑site environments.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Cisco routing/switching, firewalls and VPN technologies.
- Deep knowledge of network security principles, monitoring tools and resilience best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and develop technical teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
