Network Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining data and fiber networks across a nationwide customer base, with travel, certification, and hands‑on troubleshooting requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and maintain data and fiber network infrastructure for multiple customer sites nationwide.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing and switching equipment, primarily Cisco platforms.
- Perform network performance monitoring, fault analysis, and corrective actions using tools such as Wireshark and network management systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide on‑site support and documentation, including as‑built diagrams and change logs.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with data or fiber network installation and maintenance.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, ECS) or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and switching technologies.
- Valid clean driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
- Successful DBS clearance.
