Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer responsible for escalating and resolving complex network issues, enhancing network processes, and training first‑line teams using routing, switching, WiFi, and security technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the highest escalation point for network incidents raised by the Service Desk, diagnosing and resolving complex routing, switching, WiFi, and security problems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure solutions.
- Analyze incident trends, develop root‑cause reports, and recommend process improvements to reduce recurrence.
- Provide hands‑on training and mentorship to first‑ and second‑line support staff, enhancing overall team competency.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and best‑practice guidelines for internal use.
Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise network engineering, including routing, switching, WiFi, and security protocols.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a patient, methodical approach to problem resolution.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives and governance in a managed services environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
