Systems Engineer
Network Analyst / Computer Network and Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability across Cisco, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain Cisco routing and switching infrastructure to support enterprise connectivity.
- Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimise bandwidth utilization using industry‑standard tools.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux network services such as DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory integration.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell) for routine tasks and configuration management.
- Document network architecture, procedures, and change‑control records to ensure compliance and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment and protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLANs).
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, VPN technologies, and firewall administration.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux system administration, including DNS, DHCP, and AD services.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell (or similar) for automation and reporting.
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) and a solid grasp of TCP/IP fundamentals.
