Software Engineer
Provide on‑site engineering and technical support for Navy communication and network systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring network equipment, and ensuring mission‑critical uptime.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Navy communication and network hardware in field environments.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and RF communication issues to meet operational readiness standards.
- Perform system integration tasks, including interfacing legacy platforms with modern network solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to end‑users and maintain detailed service logs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement security hardening and compliance measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience with network engineering, including routing, switching, and RF communications.
- Strong troubleshooting skills on Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to work in austere, field‑based conditions and adapt to rapidly changing mission requirements.
- Clear communication skills for documenting issues and delivering user training.
- Security clearance or eligibility to obtain one preferred.
