Software Engineer
Engineering Technician supporting NAVAIR programs, applying electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering expertise to design, test, and troubleshoot advanced naval aviation technologies using CAD, Python, and MATLAB.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory research and engineering tests on naval aviation systems, collecting and analyzing data to validate performance.
- Design and develop schematics, CAD models, and simulation models for aircraft components and subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues, implement corrective actions, and improve system reliability.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, test plans, and documentation for internal use and regulatory compliance.
- Support field operations by providing technical guidance, maintenance procedures, and training to end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink).
- Experience with test instrumentation, data acquisition, and signal analysis.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
