Founding ML/Data Engineer building a production‑grade Python/Django platform that powers AI‑driven pricing for short‑term rentals, leveraging Booking.com and Airbnb data to deliver data‑driven, rules‑based automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain clean, production‑ready Python code within a Django codebase, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Build and iterate on machine‑learning models that drive dynamic pricing and promotion decisions for short‑term rental operators.
- Integrate and orchestrate data pipelines from Booking.com private API, Airbnb channel data, and web‑scraped competitive pricing, ensuring data quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define experiments, measure impact, and translate business goals into technical solutions.
- Deploy models and services to AWS, managing CI/CD, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python and Django in a production environment.
- Hands‑on expertise in building and deploying machine‑learning models at scale.
- Proficiency in SQL and data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, etc.).
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, EC2, SageMaker, Lambda).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a data‑driven mindset.
