Seasoned DevOps Engineer specializing in middleware automation, responsible for designing, deploying, and managing enterprise middleware on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS using GitOps and CI/CD practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate the lifecycle of enterprise middleware solutions on Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA).
- Develop and maintain GitOps pipelines to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments across environments.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate middleware components into CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches or upgrades to keep middleware services highly available.
- Provide technical guidance and best‑practice recommendations for cloud‑native middleware architectures.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services.
- Proven expertise in GitOps, CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Argo CD, GitLab CI), and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
- Hands‑on experience managing middleware platforms such as IBM MQ, DataPower, or similar.
- Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative mindset in a hybrid work environment.
