Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of MongoDB Enterprise Advanced clusters on complex cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for mission‑critical scheduling, telehealth, and digital health applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage MongoDB Enterprise Advanced clusters across production, staging, and sandbox environments.
- Implement high‑availability, sharding, and replication strategies to meet strict uptime and performance SLAs.
- Configure and maintain backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and rapid recovery.
- Apply security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption at rest and in transit, and audit logging.
- Monitor cluster health, analyze performance metrics, and tune queries and indexes for optimal throughput.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to integrate MongoDB with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience administering MongoDB Enterprise Advanced in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or similar for automation and monitoring.
- Experience with backup tools (MongoDB Ops Manager, Cloud Manager) and disaster‑recovery planning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
