Systems Engineer
Engineer responsible for maintaining and optimizing PET/CT and SPECT/CT molecular imaging platforms in a lab setting, ensuring regulatory compliance, system uptime, and support for verification, validation, and development activities.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain operational readiness of PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging systems, performing preventive maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
- Support verification and validation activities for new hardware and software releases, documenting test results and deviations.
- Manage radioactive material handling, ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and maintain lab infrastructure, including power, networking, and environmental controls, to minimize system downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to implement system upgrades and resolve performance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related field with experience in molecular imaging equipment.
- Hands‑on experience with PET/CT and/or SPECT/CT platforms, including calibration, quality control, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, ISO), and EHS standards.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces and documenting technical procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced lab environment.
