Lead a multidisciplinary team to develop high‑fidelity models and simulations for advanced aerospace systems, leveraging C++, Python, MATLAB, and model‑based systems engineering practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor a team of engineers in the design, development, and validation of complex modeling and simulation tools.
- Define architecture and implementation strategies for high‑performance C++/Python and MATLAB simulation frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to integrate models into system‑level analyses and verification processes.
- Establish and enforce best practices for model‑based systems engineering, version control, and continuous integration.
- Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of modeling/simulation experience.
- Proven leadership of technical teams delivering large‑scale simulation solutions.
- Expertise in C++, Python, MATLAB, and model‑based systems engineering methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to translate system requirements into accurate models, and experience with Agile development processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
