Software Engineer
We seek a Mobile Mapping Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in LiDAR, GIS, and mobile mapping systems to acquire, process, and validate high‑accuracy geospatial data for innovative mapping solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and supervise field data collection using mobile mapping platforms, LiDAR scanners, and GNSS equipment.
- Process raw LiDAR point clouds and imagery to generate accurate 3D models, orthophotos, and GIS layers.
- Validate and quality‑check geospatial datasets against project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain scripts or workflows for data cleaning, transformation, and integration with GIS databases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver mapping products that meet client requirements and timelines.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with mobile mapping technologies, LiDAR acquisition, and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Proficiency in processing and analyzing geospatial data, including point‑cloud manipulation and raster/vector generation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automating data workflows is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Remote Sensing, or a related engineering discipline.
