Mobile FM Building Fabric Engineer responsible for on‑site fabrication, installation and commissioning of building services across life science, commercial, education and healthcare projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on‑site fabrication and installation of building services components, ensuring adherence to design drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with design, construction and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
- Perform quality inspections, testing and commissioning of installed systems to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during handover and post‑occupancy phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports and as‑built records for all fabrication activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building services fabrication and installation within life science, commercial, education or healthcare sectors.
- Strong knowledge of facilities management principles and construction processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a mobile, on‑site environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland.
