Software Engineer
Lead a cross‑functional software engineering team to design, develop, and deploy mission‑critical computing solutions for Air Dominance programs, leveraging cloud platforms, modern DevOps practices, and secure coding standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission‑critical mission computing platforms.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions using Python, C++, Java, and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Drive continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices to accelerate delivery and ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with system engineers, security specialists, and program managers to define requirements, assess risks, and deliver on schedule.
- Ensure compliance with defense security standards and maintain required security clearances.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and Java, with hands‑on experience in cloud architecture (AWS/Azure).
- Demonstrated expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a matrixed organization.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
