Missile Lead Systems Engineer - Raytheon

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end systems engineering for missile programs, defining architecture, interfaces, and performance requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure design integrity, schedule adherence, and cost control.
• Develop and maintain rigorous requirements documentation, traceability matrices, and verification plans.
• Conduct risk assessments, mitigation planning, and technical reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with defense acquisition regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in missile or aerospace defense environments.
• Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, architecture design, and verification/validation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance required; ability to maintain clearance.
