About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer mission requirements into detailed system specifications for directed‑energy projects.
- Develop and validate system architectures, models, and simulations to assess performance and feasibility.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hardware, software, and control subsystems.
- Conduct trade studies, risk analyses, and verification & validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for government stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 3–5 years of systems engineering experience.
- Hands‑on experience with directed‑energy technologies, high‑power lasers, or related defense systems.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis, modeling & simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and programming in C++.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment, and excellent communication abilities.
- Security clearance eligibility preferred.
