Systems Engineer
Mid-Level Systems Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and integrating satellite systems for commercial, civil, and national security space applications, leveraging systems engineering principles and rigorous testing.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of satellite subsystems, ensuring alignment with mission requirements and performance targets.
- Apply systems engineering methodologies to define architecture, interfaces, and integration plans for space-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct requirements analysis, risk assessment, and trade studies.
- Oversee integration, verification, and validation activities, including hardware-in-the-loop and environmental testing.
- Document design decisions, produce technical reports, and support certification and compliance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- 3–5 years of experience in systems engineering for satellite or space systems.
- Strong knowledge of space qualification standards, interface control, and test procedures.
- Proficiency in CAD, simulation tools, and requirements management software.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
