Mid‑level software engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure applications for government contracts, leveraging C++, Java, Python and Linux while adhering to strict Secret/CompTIA Security+ clearance requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug secure software components using C++, Java, and Python.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications on Linux platforms, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver features on schedule.
- Implement network security controls and perform vulnerability assessments as part of the development lifecycle.
- Utilize version control (Git) and continuous integration pipelines to streamline releases.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and CompTIA Security+ certification.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and network security fundamentals.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using Git for source control.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to produce clean, maintainable code.
