Data Engineer
Experienced Data Engineer specializing in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI migrations, responsible for discovery, architecture design, and execution of large‑scale data platform moves on Azure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery phase for Fabric and Power BI asset migrations, gathering requirements and assessing source environments.
- Design and configure Microsoft Fabric architecture on Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Execute end‑to‑end data migration workflows, including data extraction, transformation (ETL), and loading into Fabric datasets.
- Collaborate with Microsoft Support and implementation partners to resolve technical issues and optimize migration strategies.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that reflect migrated data, ensuring data integrity and visual consistency.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for Fabric pipelines and Power BI services.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Proven track record of large‑scale data migrations on Azure, including ETL development and data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and experience working with Microsoft Support or third‑party implementation partners.
- Effective communication and documentation skills to convey technical designs to both technical and business stakeholders.
