Metrology Engineer II responsible for developing and maintaining measurement systems, calibrating equipment, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards to support high‑quality roto‑molded marine components and related products.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain measurement systems for roto‑molded fuel, ballast, and sanitation products.
- Calibrate and validate measurement equipment, ensuring traceability to national standards.
- Analyze measurement data, apply statistical process control, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and support product development.
- Document metrology procedures, maintain calibration records, and support ISO 9001 audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial metrology or quality engineering.
- Proficiency with measurement equipment (CMM, laser scanners, coordinate measuring tools) and data analysis tools.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
