Member of Technical Staff - Data Center Electrical Design
As a Member of Technical Staff focusing on Data Center Electrical Design at ai&, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical systems in their data centers, from design and specification to installation and commissioning. This role involves designing high-density power architectures for AI infrastructure, overseeing construction, and ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical codes and standards to support demanding AI workloads.
ai& is a new global AI technology company dedicated to meeting the world's growing demand for AI. Our vision is twofold: to serve as a premier AI lab specializing in localization, and to act as a global infrastructure and compute provider. We are building a unified, optimized global platform that integrates next-generation data centers and infrastructure, heterogeneous compute serving, and advanced model services. We believe that the most effective way to build and scale AI is to own the stack from top to bottom.
At ai&, we empower small teams with the autonomy needed to tackle significant challenges. Our approach is to deconstruct large problems into manageable components and solve complex issues collaboratively. We seek highly motivated, mission-driven individuals who demonstrate strong personal agency. We value curiosity as the foundation of talent, and we are looking for people eager to develop alongside our evolving technology and expanding business.
As a Data Center Electrical Engineer at ai&, you own the electrical systems that make our facilities production-ready. From utility entry to the rack, you are responsible for designing, specifying, and overseeing the installation and commissioning of every electrical system in our data centers. You are the person who signs off that the power infrastructure is ready before anything gets turned on inside.
AI infrastructure at the scale we are building is electrically demanding in ways that most data center designs do not anticipate. Modern GPU rack-scale systems push power densities that require careful, deliberate electrical design from the earliest stages of a project. You understand those demands and you design for them from day one — not as an afterthought.
This is a full lifecycle role. You will be involved from site assessment and design through construction oversight and final commissioning, working closely with the data center operations, systems, and facilities teams to ensure the electrical infrastructure is reliable, efficient, and built to scale.
