QA Engineer
Lead automation and system maintenance for Melt Shop Level II, managing Oracle databases, web servers, and custom scripts to support production data, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot all servers and Oracle databases supporting Level II melt shop operations.
- Design, develop, and deploy Python scripts and web applications to automate data collection, reporting, and system monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations, including BRS directives and Responsible Steel requirements.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and IT teams to fulfill ad‑hoc data requests from Big River, customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Implement and document system enhancements, performance tuning, and backup/recovery procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering Oracle databases and Linux/Windows servers.
- Strong programming skills in Python and web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of SQL, database design, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of industrial automation concepts and experience with process control systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
