Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed budget models for the Medicaid Transformation Project, tracking $2.5 billion in revenue and expenditures over the biennium.
- Conduct rigorous fiscal analysis, identifying variances, forecasting trends, and providing actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets using SQL and advanced Excel functions to support reporting and decision‑making.
- Create dynamic dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize financial performance and support strategic planning.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, program, and IT teams to resolve complex fiscal issues and improve data integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or related roles within a large public‑sector or healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA), and Power BI.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting.
- Experience with Medicaid or other public health funding streams is a plus.
