About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed budget models for the Medicaid Transformation Project, monitoring $2.5 billion in biennial funding.
- Analyze revenue streams, expenditures, and financial forecasts to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Generate regular financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership using Excel, Tableau, and Python‑based analytics.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional finance teams to resolve complex fiscal issues and ensure data integrity.
- Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using SQL and scripting to improve reporting efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field with 3+ years of fiscal analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment.
- Experience building financial models and reporting on large‑scale government or healthcare budgets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
