Systems Engineer
Mechanical Systems Engineer responsible for defining and managing the mechanical scope of new packaged rotating equipment, including gas turbine‑compressors and motor‑driven compressor trains, while supporting project engineers and ensuring engineering standards across onshore and offshore projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage the mechanical and systems technical scope for new packaged rotating equipment, such as gas turbine‑compressors, electric motor‑driven compressor trains, coolers, and scrubbers.
- Collaborate with project engineers to resolve technical issues raised by internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain and enforce the highest mechanical engineering standards throughout design, procurement, and delivery phases.
- Coordinate with global stakeholders, including suppliers and offshore/onshore project teams, to ensure alignment on specifications and schedules.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings, and calculation reports to support project milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional engineering license preferred.
- Proven experience with rotating equipment design, particularly gas turbine‑compressor and motor‑driven compressor systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design standards, material selection, and stress analysis.
- Excellent project coordination skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and engineering software for analysis and documentation.
