Software Engineer
Mechanical Project Engineer responsible for leading CAPEX projects from concept to commissioning on an industrial site, managing full lifecycle, contractors, and safety while delivering a £4.6 million programme.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for CAPEX initiatives, ensuring design, procurement, construction and commissioning milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors, maintaining clear communication and technical oversight.
- Apply rigorous safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including cost estimates, schedules, technical specifications and progress reports.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, presenting status updates and resolving technical issues to keep projects on track.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAPEX project management, commissioning processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
