About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of large, technically complex automation equipment, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and safety.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis to validate structural integrity and optimize designs for cost and reliability.
- Create detailed CAD models and drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, maintaining version control and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical components into complete automation systems.
- Prepare technical reports, design reviews, and project documentation, communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, coordinate resources, and troubleshoot design issues to keep projects on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design for automation or manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD and strong knowledge of FEA tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Self‑starter with strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and a proven ability to work independently or in a team.
