About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Perform structural and thermal analyses to validate design integrity and performance under operational conditions.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and documentation in compliance with IEEE, CSA, and internal manufacturing constraints.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve design issues, optimize manufacturability, and support prototype testing.
- Lead design reviews, provide technical guidance, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transformer or high‑voltage equipment design.
- Deep understanding of IEEE and CSA standards applicable to transformer design.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.
