Material Scientist with Python - Freelance AI Trainer - Mindrift

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data preprocessing and feature engineering on material science datasets.
• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models to predict material properties and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into product pipelines.
• Document model development processes, results, and best practices for reproducibility.
• Provide technical guidance and training to stakeholders on AI model usage and interpretation.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with machine learning workflows, model validation, and performance tuning.
• Background in materials science or related field with ability to translate domain knowledge into data-driven solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently on project-based assignments.
