Software Architect
Design and lead manufacturing test systems for residential energy hardware, creating automated test rigs, software, and data pipelines using Python, C++, and embedded Linux platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end manufacturing test solutions for home energy stations, including hardware fixtures, test software, and data acquisition.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks in Python and C++ to validate hardware performance, safety, and compliance.
- Integrate embedded Linux platforms and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) simulators to emulate real‑world operating conditions.
- Collaborate with product, hardware, and firmware teams to define test requirements, failure criteria, and reporting metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and documentation to increase yield and reduce cycle time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience in test system design for consumer or industrial hardware.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for test automation and embedded development.
- Strong knowledge of embedded Linux, hardware‑in‑the‑loop, and signal acquisition hardware.
- Experience building scalable test rigs, data pipelines, and reporting dashboards.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced hardware startup environment.
