About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing and high‑precision machining, across multiple programs.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring best‑practice implementation of CAD/CAM and process engineering methods.
- Manage the CRAD (Critical Research and Development) portfolio, tracking milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to evaluate, qualify, and transition new manufacturing processes into production environments.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing technologies, with proven expertise in additive manufacturing and CAD/CAM systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including portfolio oversight and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring engineering teams.
