Software Engineer
A co‑op role supporting manufacturing systems engineering, offering hands‑on experience with CAD design, data analysis, automation, and process improvement using SolidWorks, MATLAB, Python and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify 3D models and drawings of manufacturing equipment using SolidWorks.
- Analyze process data and create simulation models in MATLAB and Python to optimize production flow.
- Assist in programming and troubleshooting PLCs for automated manufacturing lines.
- Support implementation of Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to document specifications, test results, and design changes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
- Basic understanding of PLC logic and industrial automation concepts.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
