Software Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable cloud-native platforms using Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform, driving automation and continuous delivery for Allstate’s cyber operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver secure, highly available cloud-native services on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team, mentoring developers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and DevSecOps practices.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that enforce security scanning, automated testing, and rapid deployment cycles.
- Collaborate with product, security, and compliance stakeholders to define and enforce security controls, threat modeling, and incident response workflows.
- Drive performance optimization, cost management, and reliability engineering initiatives across the cyber platform stack.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with a strong focus on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Python and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and automated security testing.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical teams in a fast‑paced environment.
