About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute AI strategy for disease biology projects, ensuring alignment with scientific objectives.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, bioinformaticians, and software engineers to build scalable ML pipelines.
- Collaborate with computational biology and genetics groups to integrate multi‑omics data into predictive models.
- Oversee model validation, performance monitoring, and deployment on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Communicate findings to scientific leadership and external stakeholders, translating technical results into actionable insights.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field.
- Proven track record managing AI/ML projects in a life‑sciences environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and model deployment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset.
