Software Engineer
Lead a team of verification and validation engineers to ensure autonomous vehicle safety, driving cross‑functional safety case development, test strategy, and rapid capability expansion using simulation, Python, C++ and ROS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of verification and validation engineers focused on autonomous vehicle safety.
- Develop and execute test plans, simulation scenarios, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop validation to certify platform safety cases.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and safety assurance teams to integrate safety requirements into system design and release processes.
- Define metrics, data collection, and analysis methods to assess safety performance and support continuous improvement.
- Drive adoption of best practices in safety engineering, verification, and validation across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in safety‑critical systems, preferably in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with hands‑on experience using ROS and simulation tools.
- Proven track record leading verification and validation efforts, including test plan creation, execution, and results analysis.
- Deep understanding of safety engineering standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO 26262, functional safety).
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
