About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design, develop, and deploy robust BI and analytics platforms.
- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications, delivering dashboards, reports, and data products that drive decision‑making.
- Champion best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps to accelerate delivery and maintain system reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement of data models, analytics workflows, and performance tuning to support real‑time insights across Disney’s media ecosystem.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda).
- Strong background in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with data engineering, ETL pipelines, and large‑scale analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
