Software Engineer
Lead the management and enhancement of power asset information, driving data integrity, analytics, and reporting across the network using GIS, SQL, and Power BI to support strategic decisions and asset lifecycle management.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of power asset data across the network, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement GIS-based asset information systems, integrating spatial data with asset inventories.
- Lead data analysis initiatives to support asset lifecycle management, risk assessment, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to define data standards, workflows, and reporting requirements.
- Produce regular dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate key metrics to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geospatial Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power asset information management or a similar role.
- Proficiency in GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS) and database technologies (SQL).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in Power BI or equivalent reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
